In Caxacori Studio we develop wild rubber soles and shoes that preserve the Amazon forest and empower the native communities of the Amazon forest.
RESISTANT, SUSTAINABLE AND VEGAN
A bioleather based on wild latex that we work with native Awajún communities, without damaging or cutting down the trees and respecting their cycles. The production of this new biomaterial contributes to the conservation of the Amazon rainforest and empowers indigenous Peruvian families through the economic development and sustainable management of the shiringa tree.
In CAXACORI STUDIO we design biomaterials for a better world. Our proposal is born from a search for identity through our environment and material, to tell our history and present through new values and aesthetic and tactile sensations. Our laboratory is the Amazon and the Peruvian Andes, we travel constantly looking for and searching for ourselves in the fibers and ancestral knowledge, we rely on biotechnology and green chemistry to design and propose other ways to experience the material feeling.
